⁣Kentucky Senator Rand Paul (right) feared that a mob of Black Lives
Matter protesters would kill him and his wife Kelley after the couple
were surrounded while leaving the last night of the Republican National
Convention on Thursday night. Paul said the demonstrators were shouting
threats to kill at him, and if it had not been for police blocking the
way, the activists would have gotten him to the floor and 'kicked in the
head or kicked in the stomach until we were senseless.' Video from the
night shows the couple being escorted by officers as a crowd swirls
around them, before one of the officers is pushed backwards into the
senator, almost knocking both of them over (left). Hundreds of
demonstrators had gathered in Washington DC for the last night of the
convention to hold a street party and drown out Trump's speech, but as
